Theatre Nurse Job Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Active and valid nursing license (Registered Nurse) in the state or country of employment.
- Specialized certification in perioperative nursing or operating room nursing (preferred).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Experience:
- Minimum of [X] years of experience working as a Theatre Nurse or in an operating room setting.
- Experience in various types of surgeries (e.g., general, orthopedic, cardiac, etc.).

- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods during surgeries.
- Capability to assist with moving and positioning patients during surgical procedures.
- Physical and mental stamina to handle high-stress and physically demanding situations.
- Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms and ensure that all necessary equipment and instruments are sterilized and ready.
- Assist the surgical team before, during, and after surgery by passing instruments, sutures, and other items as needed.
- Monitor the patient’s vital signs during surgery and report any abnormalities to the surgical team.
- Ensure the operating room maintains strict adherence to infection control and sterilization protocols.
- Provide post-operative care to patients, monitoring recovery and ensuring patient comfort.
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Document all relevant details during surgeries, including patient information, procedures, and outcomes.
- Availability:
- Full-time or part-time positions, with flexibility for on-call duties, weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Willingness to work in different healthcare settings, including hospitals, surgical centers, or clinics.
